Visit Connemara and Galway – Hiking and Biking Tours in June

The summer tourism season has not yet started, and many of the children are still in school, so by choosing hiking and biking tours in Connemara in June, you’ll avoid many of the crowds. June is the best balance between good weather and smaller crowds. It’ll be easier to strike up a conversation with local people, or hike along a beloved pilgrim’s path.

While the summer season may not yet be in full swing, you’ll start to see markets, fairs, races, and other local events taking place all over the island. This is a great introduction into Irish culture! Picnics outside are a great way to enjoy the wilds of Connemara in June.

Co. Galway and Connemara National Park are popular places to visit in Ireland – and for good reason! The park is beautiful, and buzzing with life. But to avoid too many crowds, visiting in June is a great way to avoid them! Hop on a bike and cycling through quiet trails in this vibrant park. Or, if you prefer a slower pace, try a pair of hiking boots and a walking staff – this is one of the prettiest places to walk and hike in Ireland!
