One of the questions our travellers ask us quite often is what to wear while travelling in Ireland.
The first thing we say is – layers are key! Irish weather can be quite changeable so you’ll want to be ready to put on or take off an additional layer. Good quality waterproofs are the second most important element of dressing right for your Ireland adventure.
We have a couple of handy articles about what to wear in Ireland:
Another topic that comes up frequently is the weather in Ireland. The Emerald Isle has a reputation for raining quite a lot (hence all the green!) but is this really true?
Yes and no. In Ireland, we do get a fair amount of rain showers – and a good few rainbows! – but we also get a fair amount of sunshine too.

In the broad our range of small-group, fixed-date tours run with a maximum of 8 people. We find that, along with an expert guide, this is an ideal number to ensure that the group is intimate and has an opportunity to create some strong bonds across a week-long adventure. There are occasional exceptions to the rule.
Our Private Departures and Custom Tours, by their nature, can be customised to your own requirements and therefore, the size of the group is entirely dependent on who you’d like to travel with.
For the vast majority of our tours, you will have the service of one of our expert guides on a 1:8 ratio on a hiking tour and 2:8 on a bike tour.
Our guides are highly trained, not only in the activity they are guiding but also in many other aspects that make up an incredible adventure travel experience. Those include landscape interpretation, history and storytelling, the night sky, Irish Gaelic, folklore, flora and fauna, geology, hidden beaches and lesser-known gems, and of course, the high level of service we provide.
