    Mini Bio

    I joined the Wilderness Ireland team in 2026. As a qualified tour guide, I am deeply connected to the landscape, history and stories of the West of Ireland.

    I was born in England to Irish parents and moved to Ireland at 18 after spending all our school holidays in County Mayo. After working for many years in the UK and Australia, it was time to come home in 2018 with my family from Australia and make Ireland our permanent home.

    I’m now back in my beloved County Mayo on the beautiful west coast of Ireland, surrounded by rugged coastlines, rolling hills, and vibrant communities that have shaped my strong connection to this place and its people.

    I love the vastness and wilderness of the north-west corner of County Mayo; you really feel that you are away from it all.

    Not a lot of People Know This

    Whilst backpacking in Australia in the early 2000s, I had a casual job sampling fancy chocolates in Sydney at Christmas time. We were told to hold the tray of chocolates nice and high so the kids couldn’t reach them, but I just couldn’t do it!
