    Mini Bio

Dublin-born and bred, with a background in community work, I’ve always been driven to explore new places and perspectives. I’ve jumped at opportunities to live, work, and study in cities from Istanbul to Seattle to Brussels. While I love exploring cities, a year spent living in Southwest Kerry during the pandemic taught me that I’m happiest when roaming along the Irish coast.

Having recently returned from a trip around New Zealand, I now feel very lucky to call Sligo home and to discover its abundance of trails, waves, and ancient sites (I can never resist a good ruin or tomb!). When not out and about, I may be found making a mess with paints or clay, curled up on the couch watching a movie or reading a book. I’m delighted to be part of the Wilderness team and to help create meaningful, fun, and sustainable adventures all around Eire.

    Favourite Place to Play

It’s a tough choice, but it’s gotta be the Iveragh Peninsula in Kerry for its magical mix of beaches, hills, community, and mythological places and stories. My favourite sight is the hedgerows in late summer bursting into purple and orange with wildflowers. Winter storm-watching has its own special charm too.

Not a lot of People Know This

I made it onto New Zealand’s state TV channel, featured in an episode of Country Calendar—the Kiwi equivalent of Nationwide!
