What to Expect at the Wilderness Office

Would you like to join the Wilderness Ireland team? Do you have great attention to detail, a passion for outstanding service, a deep knowledge of Ireland, and a love of adventure? Is the rugged west coast of Sligo your dream place to live?

If the answer to these questions is a YES then keep on reading.

Based in northwest Ireland between sea and mountain on Sligo’s surf coast, we offer a special combination of interesting roles, flexible working, career opportunities, and a supportive culture in which you will thrive as an individual and team member. In operation since 2012, Wilderness Ireland is home to a dedicated and passionate team who relishes sharing a love of Ireland with travellers from near and far.

At Wilderness Ireland, alongside sister brands Wilderness Scotland and Wilderness England, our aim is to break new ground and set the worldwide standard for what adventure travel should be. We commit with a passion to providing our customers with the most inspiring experiences of their lives, ensuring our experiences are delivered sustainably, promoting the value of wild places, setting new standards for tourism experiences and creating a rewarding, meaningful and truly fun place to work.

Joining the Wilderness team is more than just a job. You will be part of a dynamic team that is always seeking new ways in which we can improve. You will thrive in this fast-paced environment, but you will also be encouraged to bring new ideas and enthusiasm to the role and the company as a whole. You can read a bit more about us in our Culture Book to get a real feel for what we are about.

While we have a lot of fun at Wilderness Ireland, our team is 100% focused on delivering 5 star world-class client experiences. As such, you will bring a professional and high-energy approach with an unwavering focus on all aspects of the client travel experience.

All live job vacancies will be shown below.  If no vacancies are showing, then we are not currently recruiting so best to check back from time to time although our recruitment typically takes place during autumn and winter.

What do we typically look for in successful candidates across all roles?

    • A strong and clear commitment to customer service excellence and “extra mile” delivery.
    • Good IT skills with experience of cloud-based CRM systems such as Salesforce, Google Drive and Mac applications
    • Strong administration and organisational skills, with the ability to maintain accuracy even when very busy.
    • Attention to detail, even when faced with multiple tasks and deadlines
    • Good interpersonal skills, awareness and emotional intelligence with an ability to develop and sustain internal and external business relationships.

What’s most important is that you believe you can fulfil this role and be able to convince us accordingly through your application and subsequent interview process.
