      Are you an experienced outdoor or cultural professional interested in providing guiding services to Wilderness Ireland? Do you love showcasing Ireland’s icons and hidden gems with visitors?

      As part of our ethos of providing genuine, meaningful, and transformative experiences for our travellers, we are seeking independent partners with a passion for outstanding hospitality and a deep love of Ireland.

      If you have the specialised skills to deliver world-class cultural, active, and nature-based experiences on a contractual basis, we want to hear from you. Our partner guides are vital to our brand, delivering exceptional, independent expertise that provides our clients with incredible experiences.

      What We’re Looking For

      Wilderness Ireland is always keen to hear from people who can demonstrate great knowledge and passion for Ireland. Our freelance guides are experienced tour leaders, both from outdoor and cultural standpoints. Many hold multiple qualifications, while others specialise in a single area or activity. However, we view paper qualifications as only the first step towards partnering with Wilderness Ireland as a guide.

      More important is the ability to demonstrate great familiarity with many areas of Ireland. Wilderness Ireland Guides have: 

      • Knowledge of Irish history, culture & folklore
      • Understanding of the Irish environment, geology & geography
      • A love of nature, rural Ireland, and the outdoors
      • Experience as a guide in one or more areas: hiking/walking, cycling/biking, wildlife tours, cultural tours, private travel
      • A natural flair for customer care and hospitality
      • A passion to showcase Ireland to visitors from around the world

      How To Partner With Us

      Please send a CV detailing relevant qualifications, work experience and a summary of areas of Ireland where you have worked as a guide. Please note that we get many applications for guiding work, and if your application does not cover the following, it will not be considered or responded to.

      Please also include a 1 page cover letter and send together with your CV to [email protected]. The cover letter should detail the following:

      1. Why do you wish to partner with Wilderness Ireland in a guiding capacity?
      2. What experiences and skills do you have that are transferable to this freelance role?
      3. Your interpretation of what is meant by outstanding customer care and hospitality when guiding on a week-long adventure tour.
