Back in 2001, I gave up a career as a surveyor and co-founded Wilderness Scotland. Everyone thought we were mad at the time and they were probably right. We were, however, determined and incredibly enthusiastic to share our passion for wild places. Having cut our teeth in Scotland we joined up with an amazing team to make Ireland happen.

I’m proud to be part of an amazing group of individuals who are committed to providing the very best adventure experiences possible and supporting the environments and communities where we work. While mostly based in the office now, I still get out a handful of times each year to guide some of our trips, including road cycling which is my activity of choice. Ireland is just perfect for exploring by bike – whether it’s the challenge of riding end to end or slowing right down and experiencing the country at a relaxing pace.

    Favourite Place to Play

The Dingle Peninsula – incredible views, amazing history, and some of the best food and drink you’ll find in Ireland.

Not a lot of people know this

I once beat 5-time Olympic Gold Medalist Sir Steve Redgrave. It was at Noughts & Crosses but they all count.
