Accommodation & Food
Breakfasts at every stop were excellent buffets and menu options. Lunches at restaurants were excellent, sack lunches were OK. Dinners were mostly at hotel restaurants, which felt kind of corporate with a lot of sameness to the menus and not very local, and varied in quality. We would have liked more 'local' dining venues, farm and sea-to-table, and good local pub food.
Lodgings were nice but again kind of a mixed bag in giving a local Irish cultural feel. Giant's Causeway hotel was excellent but didn't have the heat on so no way to dry our soaking wet clothing from the very wet Rathlin Island hike. Ballyliffin and Donegal lodgings didn't have much of a local Irish ambience to them, felt more like big tour stops.
See earlier comments about Calliam. Great job! And really enjoyed the music played in the van.
