    Mini Bio

I am a keen Gaeilgeoir (Irish speaker) with a passion for the history and heritage of the Emerald Isle. I feel privileged to be in a position to showcase Ireland to those willing to experience it through adventure. Packing up the boat, bike or campervan has and always will give me happiness.

    Favourite Place to Play

After spending years wandering remote areas of the world trying to find the ideal hideaway, I’ve come to realise that the most beautiful place in the world has been on my doorstep this whole time. The lakes, mountains, shores and rivers of Connemara have everything an outdoor enthusiast could ever dream of exploring.

Not a lot of people know this

I was so cold one time, I asked a Bedouin man on camelback to buy the socks he was wearing. They stank. I still have them.

For over ten years, I worked as an Outdoor Instructor in Ireland and New Zealand. A chance trip to Southern Africa in 2011 created an opportunity for me to lead personal development programmes as Head Guide with Irish charities over the next eight years to some of the most remote and amazing parts of the world.
I currently lead an adventure therapy programme for Ireland’s harshest critiques – teenagers.

It’s been my ambition for a long time now to travel to wild, remote and exciting parts of the world. I try to make at least one big trip each year. Some of these trips include kayaking around Ireland in 37 days, cycling through Mexico in 33 days or living in one of the most remote and poverty-stricken areas of Southern Africa for two years.

I grew up playing GAA (Gaelic Football and Hurling) but while in college, I fell in love with white water kayaking. Over the years, it has brought me all over the world to some amazing places while connecting with amazing people. More recently, I’ve swapped the kayak for a bike but with the same results.

    Adventurer's Stories about Pearse

Pearce was outstanding. Went out of his way to do anything he could to make our experience memorable. Really appreciated him sharing his knowledge of Irish history.

    Make Trip Private

Sometimes it's nice to get family and friends together and travel privately for some quality time. This means you benefit from all the features of the group departure, including hand-picked accommodation and expert local guides and we'll take care of it all. Then you can make your choice of departures dates and we'll get back to you to finalise the details.

We work together with our team of guides to decide which departures they lead each year. As part of that, guides provide available dates that they are free to be booked. This means that any of the dates you see in the first field of the form below, could be perfect for your private departure or customised tour.
