    Mini Bio

I grew up in beautiful West Cork and later moved to Dublin, where I spent most of my career with An Garda Síochána (Irish Police). My love for the mountains began at a young age and deepened while I worked in Tallaght, close to the Dublin and Wicklow mountains, where I regularly hiked. After taking some time off to focus on work and family, I rekindled my passion for hiking in 2015. My first big adventure was a trip to Kilimanjaro in Africa, followed by a hugely successful 4 Peaks Challenge in 2016 for the charity Aware. Organizing this event for 100 participants was a challenge in itself!

Since that event, the International Police Association Hiking Club was born, and we hike in different counties each month. In 2018, I hiked to Everest Base Camp and completed the 5 Peaks Challenge in 2019. Over the years, I’ve hiked in most parts of Ireland, and my love for rallying has only enhanced my knowledge of Ireland’s stunning scenery. Now living in Mayo, I’ve been exploring new hiking areas, particularly along the beautiful coastal walks of the Wild Atlantic Way.
