    Mini Bio

As a child, I loved exploring the fields around my home in the rural midlands of Ireland. As an adult, I discovered canoeing, kayaking and hill walking, which opened a whole new world of exploration for me!

After many years working as an engineer, I took a leap of faith and left my job to follow my passion. Now, my work involves sharing my love of the outdoors with others. As well as guiding, I work in outdoor education. I love learning about the history, nature and culture of different places on our beautiful island, discovering new places and uncovering new things in familiar areas.

    Favourite Place to Play

I’m happiest where there’s water, whether it’s a river, lake, canal, or sea. I also love winding woodland paths. Really, any place with trees or water I’m happy!

Not a lot of People Know This

I once got a trophy for cycling. It was a local community event with people of all ages taking part. I was only 6 years old and couldn’t keep up. A kind lady stayed with me the entire time, and we arrived back after everyone else had finished. They gave me a trophy for coming last!
