Declan Faulkner

Our guide, Declan, was the best guide for this adventure. I hope that I have the chance to do another tour with Wilderness Ireland and that Declan will be the guide again.

Declan was first rate -- just wonderful. Always helpful and pleasant, so knowledgeable -- just a lovely person and a great leader for our group.

Declan Faulkner is awesome. He is knowledgeable, incredibly helpful in so many ways and fun to be with.

Declan was the best - he was there when we needed him and had great stories and information to share. We all count each other as friends now. I really appreciated how much Declan knew about the plants and geology. He pointed us to great sites along our routes and answered all our questions about life in Ireland.

Declan was an amazing guide! I never expected to have an elite athlete as a guide for senior citizen me!!! He was extremely helpful and caring and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and safe. He gave my husband a couple rides back after lunch which was greatly appreciated. He pointed out historical spots on our routes that were not to be missed. He had great suggestions for lunch and dinner, we were so fortunate he was our guide! Plus he was lots of fun to talk to, he kept a nice “tone” to the week! I appreciated his encouragement when I rode up “Corkscrew Hill”!! He is simply the best!!!!

The organization, accommodation and meals were excellent. Declan was beyond excellent, going the extra miles to ensure comfort by all. When I book a future trip with WI, and I will, he will be the main reason.

Declan was supportive, enthusiastic, always finding solutions – and great company. A top-notch tour leader.

Declan was personable, caring, and even made connections with many different personalities within our group. He was phenomenal!

I do not have enough superb adjectives to describe Declan. He knew the territory for sure. A brilliant personality. And at the end of the 7 days, a friend for life.

On a scale of 1-10, Declan gets a 100 ! He did everything possible to make this the best trip ever. He went way above and beyond to show us the best of Ireland. In fact, Declan IS the very Best of Ireland. We hope to go on another tour with him. We so appreciate his kindness and effort.

Our guide, Declan, was terrific! He was super thoughtful and considerate to everyone in our group. Each day went so smoothly because Declan managed the schedule very well. Also, he was very knowledgeable about the area and shared history, as well as geology, bird and general nature facts. We also shared lots of laughs!! It was the best vacation we ever had, and our guide, Declan, gets all the credit for making it that way!
