Me in 3: Adventurous, Passionate, Outdoor-Loving
Place to play: I would have to say Connemara, the mountains, the lakes, the beaches, the landscape, it’s all so wild and wonderful. Yes, I am a “West is best girl!”
Not a lot of people know this: I have a irrational fear of rodents, give me spiders or snakes any day!
Mini Bio: I grew up in the outdoors: hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking, horse riding, anything that got me outside, active and involved in nature and the great outdoors. I luckily found a 3rd level course that suited my passion for the outdoors and went on to complete my BA in Outdoor Education. I graduated with a Degree in Outdoor Education in 2003.
Since then, I have hiked, biked and kayaked around Ireland and the world. I also am a keen multi-sport athlete and have represented Ireland at both European and World Triathlon Championships. I am currently studying for my Masters in Sport Psychology and am focusing my research in the area of nature-based solutions to enhance well being with a special focus in the area of blue and green exercise.
