    Mini Bio

I grew up in Sligo overlooking the Atlantic, so it’s a thrill to return home to live beside the ocean after several years in Toronto. I adore being out in the hills anywhere in Ireland. I bought my first pair of hiking boots when I was a student, and tried them out in the Wicklow Mountains. I was hooked. I spent many an autumn day tramping the mountains and trails around Sligo and Leitrim, and think that there is no better feeling than being so close to nature. I am also lucky enough to have trekked in more far-flung parts of the globe, including the stunning Annapurna Trail in Nepal and the Inca Trail in Peru.

    Favourite Place to Play

I have a soft spot for Scotland, so much so that myself and my husband had our honeymoon road tripping around the Scottish Highlands. My favourite local spot in my home county of Sligo is Glencar Lake and the loop around Lough Gill Lake. You will also find me on the beaches all along the Sligo coast.

Not a lot of people know this about me

I am an All Ireland-winning aerobic gymnast… many moons ago!

    Education Read More

I studied at the Law Society of Ireland and qualified as a Solicitor. Shortly after, I immigrated to Australia to work in the financial insurance industry. I returned to Ireland and tried my hand in the hospitality industry, having made the decision that law is not what sets my heart on fire.

I became the manager of a local surf cafe and shop, and adored being around customers and understanding the nature of the business. In 2015, I met my future husband, and we both moved to Canada to live and work, which was a dream! I am now back in the Emerald Isle with our toddler, and keen to get back into the Irish wilderness again.

I have done two winter ski seasons in the Alps in Chamonix, which was pretty epic. Trekking in Nepal was a true privilege and one of the most amazing experiences of my life. A trip to the Galapagos Islands is up there with one of my highlights in life to date… along with the birth of my son!
