I was born and raised in the Scottish Highlands – in fact, I’m from Inverness, a place often called the capital of the Highlands though Ireland has always fascinated me. While I’m based at our Scotland office, I enjoy learning more about the Emerald Isle – in particular the sunny southwest!
I am a certified tutor of Sense-Able Learning and New Tricks with Words. Basically I can help people improve their spelling through NLP techniques – classes are known to involve different coloured mini dragons, sadly they are imaginary only!
I’d have to choose the magnificent Skellig Islands. Though they have come to recent fame due to their feature in Star Wars, the history is what intrigues me. I have an interest in ancient history so the idea of exploring the perfectly-preserved beehive huts and imagining the ancient monks who chose to live in such conditions is fascinating.

I’m fascinated by ancient architecture and history and how these are intertwined with the landscape. I love being out in the hills – both for the views and the tranquillity!
In the last few years I have lived in various places such as Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Larbert during my time studying a BA in Business and an MSc in Digital Marketing. Within the field of digital marketing, I have training in SEO and I currently manage Wilderness Ireland’s SEO content development and strategy.
I enjoy the tranquillity of exploring the rural regions of Ireland, and Scotland t00. I have fond memories of visiting my grandmother in Col on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides which felt like it was a truly remote location as her closest neighbours are the animals inhabiting the neighbouring croft!
Other interests include attempting to capture idyllic photos of vast and sweeping rural landscapes. I am also fascinated by ancient architecture and history (and how these are intertwined with the landscape). I love being out in the hills – both for the views and the tranquillity!
