    Mini Bio

I’m a Frenchman who spent my childhood wandering around the world for a bit with my family. I visited Ireland for the first time 17 years ago, and promised myself that one day I would come to live here one day. And that’s been the best decision I ever made! Having taking the plunge 4 years ago now, I can’t get enough of the beautiful landscape, the peaceful way of living and the 50 shades of green of this wonderful Emerald Island. At Wilderness Ireland, I perform the role of Finance Administrator.

    Favourite Place to Play

Exploring all around Ireland but I prefer to stay mostly in the wilderness, far away from busy tourism areas, where you can find old castles, Neolithic tombs like Carrowkeel (of which I have a beautiful view from my garden), the Hill of Uisneach or Oweynagat, the Cave of the Cats in Roscommon.

Not a lot of people know this

During the summer sun, my hair and beard goes to a reddish colour, so I can blend in better with the local population. I’m also very good at accents, so nobody knows where I come from!

    Education Read More

I’ve begun my early studies with a mechanical industry certificate, then continued to a leaving certificate in accountancy to finish with a Hon. Bachelor degree in Banking and Insurance in 2011. At the moment, I’m studying to become a Chartered Accountant.

    Experience Read More

I’ve worked for about 10 years in the banking sector in France, where I’ve learned a lot about customer care and advising. But when I moved to Ireland, I’ve worked in the tourism sector ever since to promote this beautiful country to the world.

    Hobbies & Activities Read More

Rugby player for 28 seasons now and still going until I hit the 30 seasons with the local rugby club “Sligo RFC,” and then will see… maybe I’ll go for 50 seasons!

I have been passionate about history since I was a child. I’m part of an Irish living history group to promote knowledge of early medieval and Viking history in Ireland, where we practise mostly the heavy fights and train ourselves all year for big battle events such as the international festival in Wolin, Poland.

Born in a mountainous volcanic region (they are dormant I reassure you) in the centre of France, I love the outdoors and wander around the countryside when the weather permits it to discover the landscape and the history around our home in County Sligo.

    Travel Read More

I am lucky to have had the chance to live abroad with my family as a kid, in the US and Thailand. I never stopped discovering new countries all around Europe as well as in America. And I’m sure in the future I’ll continue to travel and discover new places in the old world.
