I hail from the Great White North that is Canada. Ever since I was small, I always had a yearning to go to Ireland. Fast-forward 25 years, I took the transatlantic plunge, enrolling in a surfing, beach-lifeguard and Outdoor Instructor Training Course in County Donegal. I fell in love with Ireland so much that I decided to move here so that I might enjoy the best of Ireland’s rich cultural heritage and outstanding natural beauty year round.
Favourite moments: Striking a Warrior 2 pose on a cliff ledge on Skellig Michael, Co. Kerry; meditating among the sheep & ruins of Achill Island’s deserted village of Slievemore, Co. Mayo; and challenging my sense of balance atop some of Europe’s highest sea cliffs Slieve League, Co. Donegal!
I am half Mexican and I speak Spanish! …As a non-sequitur, I ADORE elephants and some may even know me by my other name: Erin Elliphant…

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre/Dramatic Arts that I obtained in my home country of Canada.
In 2014, I completed my 200-hr YTT (Yoga Teacher Training) in Toronto, Canada. Bringing my Mindful Movement, Modo Yoga, Iyengar & Ashtanga influences & anatomy training to Ireland, I take great pleasure in organising freelance classes of Mindful Yoga and Yoga for Surfers as well as cyclists for individuals and groups.
I have travelled across Canada, the US, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic & Mexico. I have lived in and backpacked across various places in Europe including the UK, France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland.
My passions include travel, yoga, mindfulness, nature trails, wildlife preservation, surfing, snowboarding, ice-skating, organic gardening & vegan food. I head up Wilderness Ireland’s Green Team, coordinating with our counterparts in Wilderness Scotland. I volunteer with Liquid Therapy, a charitable foundation set up in 2011 to give one-to-one support for children who want to experience surfing but are unable to participate in mainstream opportunities.
