    About the Role

    The Partner Program Coordinator plays a crucial role in our company as the main point of contact between our partners in the global travel industry and the team on the ground here in Ireland. You will be responsible for coordinating key trade accounts for our B2B programmes, including itinerary development, capacity planning, pricing and contracting.

    In brief:

    • Job Title: Partner Program Coordinator
    • Location: Sligo, Ireland, with hybrid option after the initial training period. Some travel beyond the place of work may be required as part of role.
    • Type: Full time, permanent. Typically Monday-Friday 09:00-17:30 but with flexible hours and  occasional evening and weekend working – 35 hours per week
    • Office Time: In the Field: 95% / Work Related Travel: 5%
    • Salary: from €31,000 (depending on experience)

    We Are Looking for Someone With:

    • Experience in a similar role, business-to-business account management, sales or operations. 
    • Understanding or experience of the travel industry and how it functions is a benefit.
    • A strong and clear commitment to customer service excellence and “extra mile” delivery.
    • Practical experience in some or all of the activities offered by Wilderness Ireland would be an advantage.
    • Knowledge of Ireland and can confidently describe it – knowledge of England, Wales, and Scotland is also beneficial but not essential.
    • Is committed to sustainability and is an advocate for wild places and our planet.
    • A genuine interest in the regions where we operate, as well as for travel, wild places and adventure.

    Key Accountabilities

    Managing Partner Relations:

    Manage key trade partner accounts, working to ensure that the partnership remains strong, that revenue & margin targets are met, and that new opportunities to grow together are explored.

    Supporting the Operations Team:

    Ensure that our Operations Team has the information and traveller details they require to set them up for success and enable them to deliver the best possible trips. You will do this working within the brand standards and SOPs of each partner. 

    Sales and Marketing Support:

    Work with agent partners to ensure that they have everything that they need (for example, dates, pricing and marketing collateral) in order to successfully promote their Ireland product.

    On The Ground Liaison:

    First point of contact with our partners in-season, communicating on-trip changes and challenges as and if they occur, working collaboratively across teams to resolve any issues.

    Your Responsibilities Will Be To

    • Set pricing for agreed itineraries, ensuring that our input costs are accurate and that our target margins are met.
    • Sign off contracts and Partner Agreements, including payment and cancellation terms.
    • Regularly review itineraries with our Operations Team, taking into account feedback from travellers and guides.
    • Annually review itineraries with the agent to ensure year-on-year improvements are made.
    • Ensure partner brand standards and SOPs are communicated to all stakeholders and upheld on all departures.
    • Ensure that agent partners have up-to-date information to share with their travellers, such as meeting times and places, hotel contact details, and equipment lists.
    • In consultation with the Business and Product Development teams, seek out opportunities for growth with agent partners through increased load factors, extra departures, or new itineraries.
    • On-board new partners, including itinerary development, pricing, terms and other communications
    • Regular check-ins with partners to ensure our relationship is strong through video calls or in-person meetings wherever possible.
    • Act as the key point of contact for our partners, answering questions about trips, advising on or facilitating any additional requests (eg extra nights or airport transfers), and working with our Operations Team to ensure any additional services are arranged as requested.
    • Liaise with agent partners to get monthly booking updates, enter bookings into our CRM, and ensure that bookings are all correct at the time of invoicing.
    • Liaise with agent partners and the Operations Team to manage on-trip issues or concerns. 
    • Ensure client details are received and entered into our CRM in a timely manner as required for the successful running of agent departures.
    • Identify which programs would benefit from assistance in marketing and promotion, and work with the agent partners and our Business Development Team to provide that through partner sales team training, webinars, or other marketing support.
    • Work with the trade partner on private departure or custom travel requests, liaising with the rest of the sales team as required.  
    • Assist with and manage requests for new programs from existing and new agent partners.
