    About the Role

    Custom Trip Designer is a specialised role within our wider sales team. You will design and price imaginative, customised private itineraries for our direct clients and work alongside our B2B partners to create custom trips with a luxury focus. You will advise clients on options to suit their budget, requirements and interest and work with them through the entire sales journey.

    Location: Sligo
    Type: Full-time, permanent
    Office Time: 95%; Work Related Travel: 5%
    Salary: €28,000 – €31,000 depending on experience

    We Are Looking For Someone Who

    • Has a minimum of two years of sales experience, most of which was gained in the travel or tourism industry.
    • Experience in a similar role, designing and delivering customer trips, is a distinct advantage.
    • Has proven sales flair with the drive to meet ambitious targets without compromising on customer service.
    • Has a comprehensive awareness of the fundamentals of trip design and the ability to write engaging and imaginative itineraries and proposals
    • Has a great phone manner.
    • Excellent computer skills with experience using cloud-based CRM systems, ideally Salesforce.
    • Is organised and efficient with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a busy environment.
    • Professional or personal experience of the various regions of Ireland where Wilderness Ireland operates.
    • Having some practical experience in some of or all of the activities offered is an advantage but not essential.
    • Demonstrates a clear commitment to outstanding customer care and going the extra mile.
    • Well-developed interpersonal skills, awareness and emotional intelligence with an ability to develop and sustain customer relationships.

    Your Responsibilities Will Include

    • Creating exciting, engaging and well-written custom itineraries that meet the client’s brief.
    • Working with our B2B partners to create custom itineraries for their clients that match their brand and meet customer expectations.
    • Collaborating with our operations team to make sure that we deliver exceptional client experiences.
    • Accurately pricing trips and creating carefully formatted proposals for clients.
    • Following established sales processes to record and track leads, ensuring that we reach ambitious sales targets.
    • Qualifying leads by phone, and email.
    • Taking deposit payments and recording them our systems.
    • Compiling final information documents and ensuring clients have all relevant information ahead of their trip.
    • Working with other members of the sales team to ensure that all leads are followed up in line with our sales process.
    • Providing an exceptional level of client care at all stages of the sales process.
