    About this Role

    As Adventure Consultant, you will play a vital role in our sales team. Working closely with the rest of the team, the Adventure Consultant looks after prospective clients, by phone and email.

    The role involves advising clients on trip options to suit their requirements and ability, as well as taking bookings and payments and looking after all stages of customer interaction. You will liaise with our operations team in order to deliver exceptional, world-class travel experiences that meet and exceed our client’s expectations.

    Type: Full-time, permanent
    Office Time: 95%; Work Related Travel: 5%
    Salary: €26,500 – €28,000 depending on experience

    We Are Looking for Someone Who

    • Has 1-2 years or more experience in sales/admin/customer service with transferable skills suited to this role
    • Previous experience in a similar role or in the travel industry is a distinct advantage but not essential
    • Has a natural sales flair with the drive to meet ambitious targets without compromising on customer service.
    • Has a great phone manner and the ability to write clear, concise and compelling emails.
    • Is organised and efficient with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a busy environment.
    • Excellent computer skills – experience with cloud-based CRM systems, ideally Salesforce, as well as google apps and Mac OS is helpful.
    • Has knowledge of the regions of Ireland in which Wilderness Ireland runs trips.
    • Having some practical experience in some of or all of the activities offered is an advantage but not essential.
    • Demonstrates a clear commitment to outstanding customer care and going the extra mile.
    • Well-developed interpersonal skills, awareness and emotional intelligence with an ability to develop and sustain customer relationships.

    Your Responsibilities Will Include:

    • Looking after all stages of client interaction (phone, email and live chat) for bookings on our Small Group Departures and some private trips.
    • Following company sales processes to ensure that we reach ambitious sales targets, while always being sure to place the right clients on the right trip.
    • Qualifying leads by phone, email and live chat to ensure we are finding the perfect trip for each client.
    • Taking deposit and balance payments and recording them in our systems.
    • Compiling final information documents and ensuring clients have all relevant information ahead of their trip.
    • Working with other members of the sales team to ensure that all leads are followed up in line with our sales process.
    • Working with the operations team to ensure that they have the information they need to deliver the best possible client experience.
    • Providing an exceptional level of client care at all stages of the sales process.
